What is ShopmobilityShopmobility Dumfries?
Shopmobility Dumfries is a scheme which provides free of charge electric scooters and manual wheelchairs to allow people with mobility difficulties to access shops and town centre facilities.

Who can use ShopmobilityShopmobility?
Anyone who has limited mobility, short or long term, which restricts his or her ability to use the shops and other facilities within Dumfries town centre. You do not have to be registered disabled to use the scheme. Visitors to the town are also welcome to us the service.

Where is ShopmobilityShopmobility?
The scheme is run from the Shopmobility Office in the Nith Place lobby area within the Loreburne Shopping Centre. From this point there is easy access to the Shopping Centre and the pedestrianised area of the town centre.

When is ShopmobilityShopmobility available?
The scheme operates between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Monday to Saturday. The scheme is run on a pre-booked basis, but equipment may be available at short notice

How much does it cost?
There is no charge for the loan of scooters, wheelchairs or for parking. Donations are appreciated to assist with the running of the scheme.
